Rageaze Haircare Designs
Rageaze asked Magic Fox Design to create an entirely new pack for their innovative new hair products - which at the time was a revolution in haircare. We initially created a new logo as a separate exercise to encapsulate the feel of the product and this was then worked up on to packaging. The phrase 'Locks that rock' was introduced as a strap line for the brand which we worked up into a sub-logo first and then integrated as both a background to the design and a tattoo on the girls shoulder. We created an illustration of a girl to form the main element of the pack design and as a subtlety we changed here eye colour to that of each variant colour throughout the range. Simple and clean colour coding and funky typography finished the look for an attractive and eye-catching package.
The Real Pork Crackling Company 'Pork Crunch'
A whole new brand overhaul was created for 'Green Top Snacks' as they were previously known, including new brand name, logo design and packaging. The new packs featured a metallic silver 'ripped effect' strip which contrasts with the matt brown paper background overall and revealed the product name and flavour. New photography was also shot to show the product instead of a clear window as used on old packs which might have de-valued the look of the pack.
Smales - 'Best of the Catch Microwave Cook' Sleeves
Having already designed all their frozen fish packaging, Smales contacted me to range out the designs on to some new products that they wanted to bring to market. These were some sleeves that I did as part of that project which included a 'Best of the Catch Microwave Cook' logo device and new bespoke photography.
Homestead Oven/ Frying Chips Designs
We were approached by Homestead Foods based in Kent to create a new 'own brand' chips design to work across various different chip types. We created design concepts based on the Oven Chips at first until everyone was happy and then ranged it on to other variants. A mixture of library images (to set the scene) and bespoke photography (for the main shot) were used to add interest and a visual 'story' to the branding. Bold sector based colour coding defined each variants.
Manticore - Akolade Springfresh Packaging
Isle of Man based household maestro Manticore came to us with help on raising the profile of their flagship aerosol range as they felt the existing design was becoming tired in an ever-changing competitive market. We created a range of initial ideas based on just one variant from which a chosen design layout was then worked up over the entire range. The existing logo was slightly updated but essentially remained unchanged visually, so we based the 'dynamic' of the design around it to create a 'vortex' of brand and variant together. Strong colour coding and the clean white base and caps enhances this further.
Christian Salvesen - Steam Frozen Veg Range

A brand new range of products for the retail sector and sold under the in-house brand 'Chingers'. Prime quality chicken products with an incredibly full flavoured hot and spicy coating!
